Come out and get some exercise and enjoy Lawndale’s major streets and see them like you never have before – on a bicycle… or walk or run. Major streets such as Manhattan Beach and Hawthorne boulevards and Marine and Prairie avenues will be closed to vehicular traffic so participants can enjoy a fun and friendly bike ride on wide open streets.
This is a free, drop-in program; no registration is necessary. Bring the whole family and ride as far as you can in one hour, or just ride for a few minutes. It’s up to you!
All minors under the age of 18 must wear a helmet specifically made for bicycle riding.
Please join us on Saturday, April 25th, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. for the annual Lawndale Youth Day Parade – a tradition in Lawndale for several decades. The City is searching for enthusiastic groups interested in this fun annual event celebrating the youth of Lawndale and the surrounding communities. Come out and join the fun. School bands, youth groups, civic groups, sports teams, church groups, classic cars, local businesses and all others are invited to join us. We are welcoming everyone!
